Helping young people progress towards a positive future.

WISE Youth Trust supports young people on the journey into adulthood by helping them achieve success in sports, education and entrepreneurship.

We work with young people aged 7-21 from diverse urban communities, encouraging them to have fun and gain confidence while acquiring life skills and qualifications.

WISE Youth Trust evolved out of Tower Hamlets youth football club Westward Boys FC. Since our formation, we have helped over 2,500 young people play football.

We gave professional footballers Ashley Cole, Scott Parker and Lee Bowyer their start.

Since 1985, our engaging projects have helped young people flourish, while promoting civic responsibility, cohesion and inclusion.

We help young people boost their confidence, develop life skills and gain qualifications.

What we do

We support young people every step of the way, offering access to activities like football, arts and crafts after school, at the weekend and during school holidays.

Our projects currently run in the London boroughs of Greenwich, Hackney, Islington, Newham, and Tower Hamlets.

We offer flexible courses, vocational qualifications, employment and enterprise training for young people not in education, employment or training (NEET), long-term unemployed and economically inactive to help them overcome barriers and thrive.

Our inclusion projects target the hardest to engage groups, such as young males in gangs or young women who are at risk. The inclusion projects use digital media, community cohesion events, workshops and group work to explore topics including skin bleaching, girls in gangs, female genital mutilation (FGM) and gangs, guns and knives, county lines exploitation and cyber-bullying.

Our enterprise hub delivers courses and activities that are fun, creative and are designed for young people who love art, design and business. We help young people to work on original concepts and designs to display on t-shirts, hoodies, baseball caps, face masks, mugs and bottles etc— making shop-quality fashion brands and products to market on our platform.

Our approach

We are committed to real, positive outcomes for the young people we work with.

All our staff are fully qualified, accredited and experienced in working with young people from all backgrounds.
