Pathway 2 Work is designed to provide Access to Employment for Job Seekers and Inactive people

Pathway 2 Work is designed to provide access to employment for people who have been unemployed continuously for 12 months, are not in education or training because of difficulty finding work or holding down a job or those deemed Economically Inactive because they have been looking after family or household, caring for someone, retired early or temporarily sick, but would like to come back into the job market.

The objective of Pathway 2 Work is to promote the employability of excluded individuals in the community by equipping them with the personal and occupational skills they need to access and compete effectively in the labour market. It is an intensive training and aftercare support programme for local people in London aged 16 and over, who are not only long-term unemployed or inactive, but who are either marginalised by the labour market or facing barriers which make the transition into work difficult.
